Georgian winger returned to Vitesse Arnhem after spending half of the last season in Russia on loan.

Georgi Chanturia is one of the most talented Georgian players of the new coming generation. His career started in the football school of Saburtalo, and since 2009 he received a complementary formation being part of FC Barcelona.

He signed a contract with Vitesse in 2010 but he couldn’t make his official debut until 2011 because of age restriction. After a very interesting first campaign, somehow “Gio” started to have irregularities in the starting lineup. The coaches of the team considerate to give him a loan opportunity to recover his form and keep playing constantly, that’s why he spent the first 6 months of this year playing in Alania Vladikavkaz, where he managed to shine in every presentation he made, until the last game.

The loan expired and Georgi Chanturia is back to Vitesse Arnhem, and the coaches are looking forward to keep him in the first team. But in the recent friendly matches he didn’t get a single chance. Peter Boss said that he likes Chanturia and the way he looks in the training ground, but he explained to the media that the “fight event” in his last match with Alania Vladikavkaz has a penalization which will slide him in the Eredivisie as well. So Chanturia won´t be able to help the team for the first 7 matches.

At this moment Chanturia trains with the team, but plays with the reserves. The “11” of Vitesse managed to score a hattrick in a victory 3-1 against Dordrekht.

This new in fact closes officially the transfer offers made by Parma, for now.
