Georgian Champions will continue their European campaign in the Europe League after losing on aggregate by 3-1.

Dinamo Tbilisi showed nice fight and quality in Bucaresti but wasn’t enough to beat Steaua, team which made the huge step in the Third Qualifying Round of the Champions League winning in Tbilisi by 0-2.

The conditions of the first match were well known, the missed penalty of Dinamo in the second half when the match was still 0-0 gave a serious advantage to the Romanians who managed to use the mentality fault of the Georgian in their favor and score twice after the incident.

The second match started bad for Dinamo, at the 6th minute Steaua’s captain Alexandru Bourceanu made a delightful pass to find the left defender Iasmin Latovlevici one on one against Georgi Loria, who couldn’t avoid the Romanian to score the first goal of the match.

Before the half time the Georgian goalkeeper managed to stop a very dangerous strike by Cristian Tanase. The visitors woke up after this chance and managed to create opportunities just before the half time break and in the first minutes of the second half.

First it was Jaba Dvali whose try was deflected by Ciprian Tatarusanu at the 47th, and one minute later Ustaritz headed the ball into Steaua’s net after the corner kick from the right made by Xisco.

The visitors tried to press more in the middle but Steaua looked secure in the defensive zone. At the 70th minute Xisco received a pass from Georgi Merebashvili after some nice individual dribbling attempts, and scored… but he was clearly in off side.

The effort from Dinamo Tbilisi players wasn’t enough to go thru to the Champions League Play Offs, but they will continue their European Campaign in the Europe League Play Offs, hoping to win over the next rival to make it to the Group Stages.

This result gave to Georgia coefficient another 0.125, it means the general UEFA coefficient for Georgian clubs grown to 9.625 and both, Dila Gori and Dinamo Tbilisi can still increase the cipher.
