Unlucky and frustrated Dila Gori wasted a golden chance to qualify.

The Georgian side directed by Georgi Devdariani was an example of patience and constructive football, they had allowed only 1 goal in 5 Europe League matches and were favorites in many minds to make it thru the Group Stage.

The first match in Austria didn’t look very different from the first two qualifying rivals, which Dila Gori outplayed completely in Tbilisi. The Austrian team had the doubt benefit because of their only goal, which at the end was the key factor to them to beat Dila Gori.

The first half was achieved with nice opportunities from the both sides, but specially Dila Gori had the aggregate tie opportunity a few times but they were quite unlucky. Grigol Dolidze’s two one on one opportunities were frustrated by the Austrian goalkeeper.

As usual in Georgian teams, in the additional minute of the first half the Austrians scored with a counterattack, and placed Dila Gori in a very difficult position. But the beginning of the second half looked promising, at the first seconds again, Grigol Dolidze, had a golden chance to draw the game and start all over, but his attempt wasn’t enough to score.

After the missing opportunities and the desperate attacks, the hosts got frustrated and allowed the visitors to play relaxed and with the time, and feeling comfortable with the counterattacks the Austria Wien players scored the second at the 63rd and killed the game. The third one came in the last minute of the match, which made no difference to the fact of Dila Gori players being crashed in mentality.

A terrible fact that it's important to recall from this match, is the ugly fouls made from the Austria Wien players against the georgian talented midfielder Georgi Iluridze. In fact, during the first half a very strong entrance against him was clearly a red card foul - at the end the strong claims from Dila's goalkeeper Nukri Revishvili awarded him with a yellow card.
