The most winner team of Georgian football history – Dinamo Tbilisi – will represent the Caucasian country in the upcoming UEFA Champions League 2013-2014.

The Georgian club had an amazing season the last year in the local arena, winning both – the league and the cup of Georgia.

Main goal should be, for every single Georgian team, to make it to the Champions League Group Stage, a zone which none of the Georgian clubs have reached since the country got the independence in the early 90’s.

The last continental season was almost nice for the Georgian club, but they stayed one step behind from a nice achievement in the Europa League. The team coached by Alex García reached the Play-Off’s of the tournament after beating the Moldavian FC Milsami, the Welch Llanelli AFC and the Icelandic KR Reykjavik. In the play offs Dinamo Tbilisi was knocked out by the Greek AEK Athens after a very late goal scored for the Greeks just a few seconds away before the penalty’s.

This year the Georgian club is coached by Dusan Uhrin Jr. and the hopes are pointing high. On 24th June in Nyon, France, will be decided the ties of the tournament and the team Dinamo Tbilisi will meet in the Second Qualifying Round, stage where they will begin this intercontinental season.
