Weak strategy and another regrettable result, this time in Astana.

The National Team of Georgia was defeated by fourth time in a row, this time in Astana, by the National Team of Kazakhstan.

The celebration of the 100 anniversary of the Kazakh Football Federation ended with a victory of the hosts in the friendly match by one lonely goal scored by Khizhnichenko at the 17th minute, just seconds after a terrible mistake in the Georgian defensive line especially by Khizanishvili.

The Georgians dominated the possession after the goal and in both half times of the game, but couldn’t achieve to create serious opportunities. The hosts, on counterattacks, had two more opportunities to score, thankfully Georgian goalkeeper Nukri Revishvili was there to cover any single attempt.

The free kick of Jano Ananidze and a shoot by Targamadze after a nice combination, both in the first half, were the only serious approximations for the Crusaders.

In the second half Georgian team played with several forwards, but they were located in the same spots were usually other players are playing for the team, for example, Vladimer Dvalishvili was mainly as left side midfielder.

The game of the Georgians was frustrated every single time, and they looked misplaced when they tried to create offensive combinations. Usually the ball went to the side players, and no damage was ever made from there.

Georgian fans can’t blame the referee for this defeat, but it’s important to recall, as key factor of the football, that the Belarusian referee not noted many fouls over Georgian players and forgave some host players who deserved yellow cards, mainly in the first half.

At the end what really matters in the friendly matches is to find out new and effective strategies but will be definitely hard to find positive aspects from this match.
