Rejuvenated Torpedo said goodbye to the Europe League with courage, fight and momentum.

The renewed team of Torpedo Kutaisi had a difficult match ahead in Slovakia after being crashed at home 0-3. The young players, new face of the team, had to fight though against a well established Slovakian team and overcome a terrible result achieved in the first leg.

Even if the qualifier was clear, the Georgian players showed courage and forced Zilina players to give much of them to deserve the ticket to the second qualifying round of the Europe League.

Tomas Majtan opened the account for the hosts at the 17th minute, and five minutes later Róbert Pich made it 2-0. Things looked easy for the hosts so far, but Tornike Kapanadze gave some hopes to the visitors at the 29th minute.

The second half started showing an aggressive side of Torpedo and they managed to tie the game 61th minute, again Tornike Kapanadze beating Martin Dúbravka. But the Georgian ghosts appeared in front of Imeretian side, one minute after the goal Torpedo allowed another against, Róbert Pich made it 3-2.

But the hot blood of the young player’s mind impulse them to fight back again and tie once more, at the 79th minute Aleko Mzevashvili drew the final 3-3 on the stage.
